The Best Slime Recipe

What kid doesn’t absolutely love homemade slime?

 

It’s undeniably fun to be able to mix and mold your very own slime, experimenting with different colors, textures, and add-ins.

 

This incredibly satisfying sensory activity not only provides hours of entertainment, but also allows kids to engage their senses and explore their creativity to the fullest extent possible.

 

Get ready for a truly mesmerizing experience that will keep them fully immersed and entertained for hours on end!

Craft Materials

For this activity you will need:

  • 5 tablespoons of white glue
  • ¼ cup of water
  • Food coloring (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon of saline solution

 

How to make your slime:

Pour the glue into a small container. I measured out 5 tablespoons of water first and marked a line on the cup. Then I dumped out the water and poured the glue up to that line.

Add the water. Make sure the mixture is smooth and that there are no lumps.

Mix until it resembles milk.

Mix in the food coloring if desired.

Stir in the baking soda.

Now mix in the saline solution. Stir quickly for a few minutes. You will see that the slime consistency is beginning to form. Keep stirring until the slime is pulling away from the sides.

Pour out the slime and knead it for a few more minutes.

It will be sticky at first, but as you continue to knead and play with the slime it will become less sticky.
