Montessori Toys For 2 Year Olds

Are you wondering what the best Montessori toys for your two year old would be?

Are you wondering plain and simple what Montessori is and why is it beneficial to your child?

I have come up with a list of 35 Montessori toys for your two year old that can aid in their development and explain how the toy benefits them!

What is Montessori?

You may have come across the term Montessori Education, or at least heard of the word Montessori.

But what is Montessori?

Montessori is a child-focused learning approach in which your child uses specifically designed materials to stimulate independent thinking and engagement.

Basically, it is a way for your child to have open-ended, creative learning while playing with different materials, instead of learning through a formal lesson.

When I was a preschool teacher, we offered multiple age-appropriate activities to be available for the children to participate in.

These activities promote object permanence, enhance hand-eye coordination, refine motor skills, cultivates focus and concentration, encourages color and shape recognition, problem solving, cognitive skill development, patience and determination, and imagination!

So how can you help your child engage through this self-guided learning process?

Well, you should start by having materials available for your child!
